Fatz in Lexington

Ok first our waitress was great the cooks there needs to take a class in learning how to cook my son hamburger was burnt they even Burnt the cheese and the steaks we order was over cook we had to send all but two back I would say if u want good service go there but the food never right

Whelp, we did it! After living in Lexington for 3 years, we finally ventured into Fatz. I have to admit, we were thoroughly impressed. We have a great waitress, Chris, who went above and beyond. She gave us a small sample of what Fatz is known for (chicken strips) and explained the menu. Everything was cooked to order..thank you cooks! Well done all around, we'll be back! Just a small side note.. bathrooms could be cleaner.

The food was very good and our server was outstanding! Definitely going to go back. Menu has something for most people and doesn't cost a lot.

The food and service is excellent!! If you want a sirloin, be sure and order the 10 oz steak. It is definitely worth a couple of extra dollars, as the 6 oz serving is very small.My husband had the double cheeseburger, and that looked excellent, as well!!

Very good food, the service was kinda slow there were only two of us eating, the table next to us ordered after we did, and they had 5 people but they received their meal before us. How long does it take to cook a rare steak and potato,? And my wife had all you can eat ribs,

Our waiters was excellent, and the Vidalia onion dressing was delicious.

Went because I remembered the great food. Found this still true. The food was amazing and a lot for a reasonable price. They are mindful of social distancing and the staff wore masks. This brings me to the 4 rating. All was great except we had to ask for the bread after the appetizer arrived. Also had to ask for a side that should have come with the meal. There are numerous other examples supporting why I was just disappointed with our waitress, and I am usually very tolerant, one being the meal took way too long. This may have just been a bad night, but the waitress was very pleasant, so I'm not sure what was going on. I didn't bring it up to the manager because we had been there 1-1/2 hours and were ready to go. I'll definitely go back, just hope for better service.

Service was really good. Food was ok. They did forget a few things on our dinner plates and had to be corrected. Overall good experience I will go back, but not a favorite since they changed things from what they use to be.....

On a rainy mid day visit, it was not over crowded, the food and service was very good.

Worst restaurant I have ever ordered food from! I ordered the calabash jumbo shrimp platter and the auntie sues deviled eggs. The auntie sues deviled eggs didn't even come with bacon which it should have and I didn't even get cocktail sauce with my shrimp platter. Will never order food or go there to eat ever again. And when I called the line was busy all night!

Love the shrimp and grits here. Staff is always friendly but the service is almost always slow.

We went at lunch time and where the first and only went to the building for a long time. I expected our service to be fast. Our server was nice and quick but it took forever to get the food out of the kitchen. The Calabash chicken and fried green tomatoes were pretty good though. Not that food but my goodness they need to work on service time. It was like that the last time we went as well

Will not be going back. Food was terrible for the cost. The place was empty and that should have been a clue.They don't have firecracker sticks anymore, the rolls were terrible, they were inconsistent and we had to reorder them. They were different shapes and different shades of color, then there was the southern appetizer that took forever to come out. The pimiento cheese dip was a mess that looked like sauce poured out of a jar and tasted worst, the famous calabash chicken was hard and dried up stubs that we had to reorder and the chips were hard and overcooked. The coleslaw that came with the meal was just cabbage and no type of dressing and the ribs were dried out and overcooked with burned areas and the brownie was cold!

Food was decent, had to send 1 steak back to be cooked correctly. My main beef is that I watched 4 employees walk by pieces of a broken plate on the floor & I had to get our waitress to pick it up. Also, the women's bathroom was horrible. It needs revamping badly.

My job gets catering from here and it is always so good! It comes hot and on time and the people who bring it are so nice. we always look forward to it.

Well, it's usually pretty good… but this last time was lacking a lot. From slow to forgetting us altogether… But I have to say, the food isn't bad at all. Whether it was the salad, appetizers, or pasta… it's been good. Their ribs and steak are very much done as ordered too.

The fish and chips was really good! The breading on the fish was crisp and not at all soggy like some places. Make sure you try those poppy seed rolls! Yum.

Haven't dined-in as often since they changed the whole atmosphere with the "country look" a few years ago but the Calabash chicken is still wonderful and my sons love the ribs. Have picked up to-go a few times and was very pleased.

Salad was nothing special and the calabash shrimp tasted like any of the cheap shrimp you buy at the store and throw in the oven at home. The bread before the meal was really good but there were 4 of us and they brought 5 pieces 😕. And for two people it was $30 which I thought was pretty steep for what we got. Won't be back for a long time

I don’t normally leave reviews but definitely feel like this one is needed. After spending 23 dollars on a meal I would’ve expected something fairly decent but I was in fact very disappointed. I’ll start off with the “home style” Mac an cheese I received, it literally tasted like something that should be served in jail. Soggy would’ve been an understatement on texture and the cheese was very minimal. The burger, which was 14 dollars alone, was a joke for the way it was described on the menu “double barrel burger”, the onion straws put on the burger weren’t even crispy nor was the bacon. The whole thing was literally mush. The only thing I enjoyed were the fries and onion rings but I find it hard to mess those up right? Probably won’t be returning, cookout definitely tops what I just ate....

Service good, food good, prices a tiny bit high but inline with others.

Took my niece here to get her birthday meal. This Fatz looks so welcoming and its very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Plus, my niece didn't have to wait long for her food. Overall great place. Definitely would recommend to friends and family.

To start off the evening we waited on a waitress for about 15 minutes to order our drinks. Then about another 15 to order our food. Then when it came it was burnt. We never got an refills. The waitress had on a baggy shirt that touched our food. Then when my mom asked for a manager it took 5 minutes to get her. Let me add there were only about 4 tables of people. My mom talked to the manager and after everything we were on given a coupon for $5 off our next meal because we had already paid for our $70 meal.

I was very lucky to of gone when I did!! The all you can eat ribs special was ending, it was only 12$ for the ribs and two sides. The first order (with sides) was 15-30 “bones” broke into 4 pieces. The reorders were 4-6 “bones” each time all about the same size. Our waiter was very quick and responsive to any requests and was an overall excellent server.

To many little kids work here they have no idea what good customer service is they need clear the whole staff an just start over to many homegirls an homeboys work here no parental guidance just a bunch of kids playing over people food

We stopped by late one evening and enjoyed our meal. The service was great and we felt as if they were happy to serve us.

Wonderful! I came in earlier and I did not see the endless ribs advertised so i was afraid I had missed them but my server Laiken assured me they definitely still have them! Great portions, hot rolls and sweet tea. Her service was very good!

The food was greasy and food was nasty. The server was good. They need hire a cook they knows how to cook food right. They need keep the oil changed.

This place is a joke. Ordered online during normal business hours and it took my money, but when I show up for the food they are closed. Try calling just to get a forever loop of ringing with no voicemail and no one answering. However there is a car parked in the parking lot.

The drinks were the best!!! Haley did an AMAZING JOB on them!!! The kitchen on the other hand I can not say the same thing. The wait staff, tremendous!!!

Excellent food and service. Good prices and a great selection. I had the patty melt on sour dough and it was great!!

I had the all you can eat baby back ribs for 12.99. They were very good. Service was slow because she had tables in different areas of the restaurant but she was very nice and pleasant when she was there.I will definitely go back as lunch was only 30.00 for the 2 of us.

Such a huge selection! I chose the Calabash Fish Sandwich!! Everything was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious ❤ The fish was the most beautiful golden color, perfectly cooked and flavorful. I didn't know they had this dish but I'm glad I tried it and I will definitely have it again. Kudos to their chef!!
